Related entries in the VARIoT exploits database: VAR-E-201403-0071
CVSS V2: 9.0
CVSS V3: -
Severity: HIGH
Stack-based buffer overflow in BKHOdeq.exe in Yokogawa CENTUM CS 3000 R3.09.50 and earlier allows remote attackers to execute arbitrary code via a crafted TCP packet. The Yokogawa CENTUM CS3000 is a production control system. A stack buffer overflow vulnerability exists in Yokogawa CENTUM CS3000 'BKHOdeq.exe' when processing specially crafted messages. Allows an attacker to exploit a vulnerability to submit a special request to crash an application or execute arbitrary code. Yokogawa CENTUM CS3000 is prone to a stack-based buffer-overflow vulnerability because the application fails to properly bounds-check user-supplied data before copying it into an insufficiently sized buffer. Failed attempts will likely cause a denial-of-service condition. Yokogawa CENTUM CS3000 R3.08.50 is vulnerable; other versions may also be affected. Yokogawa CENTUM CS is a set of large-scale production control system of Japan Yokogawa Electric Corporation (Yokogawa). The system is mainly used in multi-field factories
VAR-201403-0279 CVE-2014-2536 plural McAfee Products and Intel Expressway Cloud Access 360-SSO Vulnerable to directory traversal CVSS V2: 4.3
CVSS V3: -
Severity: MEDIUM
Directory traversal vulnerability in McAfee Cloud Identity Manager 3.0, 3.1, and 3.5.1, McAfee Cloud Single Sign On (MCSSO) before 4.0.1, and Intel Expressway Cloud Access 360-SSO 2.1 and 2.5 allows remote authenticated users to read an unspecified file containing a hash of the administrator password via unknown vectors. Multiple McAfee products are prone to an unspecified directory-traversal vulnerability. Remote attackers can use specially crafted requests with directory-traversal sequences ('../') to retrieve arbitrary files in the context of the application. Exploiting this issue may allow an attacker to obtain sensitive information that could aid in further attacks. A remote attacker could exploit this vulnerability to read a file containing administrator password hashes

CVSS V3: -
Severity: MEDIUM
Sudo 1.6.9 before 1.8.5, when env_reset is disabled, does not properly check environment variables for the env_delete restriction, which allows local users with sudo permissions to bypass intended command restrictions via a crafted environment variable. Todd Miller 'sudo' is prone to a local privilege-escalation vulnerability. Local attackers could exploit this issue to run arbitrary commands with elevated privileges. This issue affects 'sudo' 1.6.9 through 1.8.4p5. Sudo is a set of programs developed by software developer Todd C. Miller for Unix-like operating systems and allows users to execute commands with special privileges in a secure manner. ============================================================================ Ubuntu Security Notice USN-2146-1 March 13, 2014 sudo vulnerabilities ============================================================================ A security issue affects these releases of Ubuntu and its derivatives: - Ubuntu 13.10 - Ubuntu 12.10 - Ubuntu 12.04 LTS - Ubuntu 10.04 LTS Summary: Several security issues were fixed in Sudo. In a default Ubuntu installation, the env_reset option is enabled by default. This issue only affected Ubuntu 10.04 LTS and Ubuntu 12.04 LTS. (CVE-2014-0106) It was discovered that the Sudo init script set a date in the past on existing timestamp files instead of using epoch to invalidate them completely. A local attacker could possibly modify the system time to attempt to reuse timestamp files. This issue only applied to Ubuntu 12.04 LTS, Ubuntu 12.10 and Ubuntu 13.10. (LP: #1223297) Update instructions: The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following package versions: Ubuntu 13.10: sudo 1.8.6p3-0ubuntu3.1 sudo-ldap 1.8.6p3-0ubuntu3.1 Ubuntu 12.10: sudo 1.8.5p2-1ubuntu1.2 sudo-ldap 1.8.5p2-1ubuntu1.2 Ubuntu 12.04 LTS: sudo 1.8.3p1-1ubuntu3.6 sudo-ldap 1.8.3p1-1ubuntu3.6 Ubuntu 10.04 LTS: sudo 1.7.2p1-1ubuntu5.7 sudo-ldap 1.7.2p1-1ubuntu5.7 In general, a standard system update will make all the necessary changes. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE----- Hash: SHA256 APPLE-SA-2015-08-13-2 OS X Yosemite v10.10.5 and Security Update 2015-006 OS X Yosemite v10.10.5 and Security Update 2015-006 is now available and addresses the following: apache Available for: OS X Mavericks v10.9.5, OS X Yosemite v10.10 to v10.10.4 Impact: Multiple vulnerabilities existed in Apache 2.4.16, the most serious of which may allow a remote attacker to cause a denial of service. Severity: HIGH
Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) devices 7.0 before 7.0.250.0, 7.2, 7.3, and 7.4 before 7.4.110.0 do not properly deallocate memory, which allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (reboot) by sending WebAuth login requests at a high rate, aka Bug ID CSCuf52361. Attackers can exploit this issue to consume excess memory and cause the watchdog process to restart the affected device, denying service to legitimate users. This issue is being tracked by Cisco Bug ID CSCuf52361. There is a security vulnerability in Cisco WLC equipment. The vulnerability is caused by the program not releasing memory properly

CVSS V3: -
Severity: HIGH
The IGMP implementation on Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) devices 4.x, 5.x, 6.x, 7.0 before 7.0.250.0, 7.1, 7.2, and 7.3, when IGMPv3 Snooping is enabled, allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory over-read and device restart) via a crafted field in an IGMPv3 message, aka Bug ID CSCuh33240. A security vulnerability exists in the Cisco Wireless LAN Controller IGMP processing subsystem. The attacker can inject malicious IGMPv3 messages into the network monitored by the WLC because the specific fields in the specially crafted IGMP message type are not properly verified. The IGMP subsystem can process messages. Triggering memory out-of-bounds reads can overload the device and cause a denial of service attack. This issue is being tracked by Cisco Bug ID CSCuh33240. The vulnerability is caused by the program not validating special fields in the IGMP message type. The following versions are affected: Cisco Wireless LAN Controller (WLC) 4.x, 5.x, 6.x, 7.0 prior to 7.0.250.0, 7.1, 7.2, 7.3
