| VAR-201707-1165 | CVE-2017-7063 | Apple iOS and watchOS of Messages Service disruption in components (DoS) Vulnerabilities |
CVSS V2: 5.0 CVSS V3: 7.5 Severity: HIGH |
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iOS before 10.3.3 is affected. watchOS before 3.2.3 is affected. The issue involves the "Messages" component. It allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (memory consumption and application crash). Apple iOS/watchOS are prone to a denial-of-service vulnerability.
An attacker can exploit this issue to cause a denial-of-service condition, denying service to legitimate users.
Versions prior to iOS 10.3.3 and watchOS 3.2.3 are vulnerable. Apple iOS is an operating system developed for mobile devices; Apple watchOS is an operating system for smart watches. Messages is one of the application components for sending texts, photos and videos. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iTunes before 12.6.2 on Windows is affected. The issue involves the "iTunes" component. It allows attackers to execute arbitrary code in a privileged context via a crafted app. This vulnerability allows local attackers to escalate privileges on vulnerable installations of Apple iTunes. An attacker must first obtain the ability to execute low-privileged code on the target system in order to exploit this vulnerability.The specific flaw exists within the handling of the iPodManager COM control. The issue results from the lack of proper restriction of access to the control. Apple iTunes is prone to an arbitrary code-execution vulnerability. Failed exploit attempts will likely result in denial-of-service conditions.
Versions prior to iTunes 12.6.2 are vulnerable. Apple iTunes for Windows is a set of media player applications based on the Windows platform of Apple (Apple), which is mainly used for playing and managing digital music and video files.

- Ubuntu 16.04 LTS
Summary:
Several security issues were fixed in WebKitGTK+.
Software Description:
- webkit2gtk: Web content engine library for GTK+
Details:
A large number of security issues were discovered in the WebKitGTK+ Web and

website, a remote attacker could exploit a variety of issues related to web
browser security, including cross-site scripting attacks, denial of service
attacks, and arbitrary code execution.
Update instructions:
The problem can be corrected by updating your system to the following
package versions:
Ubuntu 17.04:
libjavascriptcoregtk-4.0-18 2.16.6-0ubuntu0.17.04.1
libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37 2.16.6-0ubuntu0.17.04.1
Ubuntu 16.04 LTS:
libjavascriptcoregtk-4.0-18 2.16.6-0ubuntu0.16.04.1
libwebkit2gtk-4.0-37 2.16.6-0ubuntu0.16.04.1
This update uses a new upstream release, which includes additional bug
fixes. After a standard system update you need to restart any applications
that use WebKitGTK+, such as Epiphany, to make all the necessary changes.

applying the update immediately if possible. Selecting Don't Install
will present the option the next time you connect your iOS device.
The automatic update process may take up to a week depending on the
day that iTunes or the device checks for updates. You may manually
obtain the update via the Check for Updates button within iTunes, or
the Software Update on your device.
To check that the iPhone, iPod touch, or iPad has been updated:
* Navigate to Settings
* Select General

Title: WebKitGTK+: Multiple Vulnerabilities
Date: October 13, 2017
Bugs: #626142
ID: 201710-14
- - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - - -
Synopsis
========
Multiple vulnerabilities have been found in WebkitGTK+, the worst of
which may allow remote attackers to execute arbitrary code.
Background
==========
WebKitGTK+ is a full-featured port of the WebKit rendering engine,
suitable for projects requiring any kind of web integration, offers
Webkitas full functionality and is used on a wide range of systems.
Affected packages
=================
-------------------------------------------------------------------
Package / Vulnerable / Unaffected
-------------------------------------------------------------------
1 net-libs/webkit-gtk < 2.16.6:4 >= 2.16.6:4
Description
===========
Multiple vulnerabilities have been discovered in WebkitGTK+. Please
review the references below for details.
Workaround
==========
There is no known workaround at this time.
Resolution
==========
All WebKitGTK+ users should upgrade to the latest version:
# emerge --sync
# emerge --ask --oneshot --verbose ">=net-libs/webkit-gtk-2.16.6"
Packages which depend on this library may need to be recompiled. Tools
such as revdep-rebuild may assist in identifying some of these
packages.

| VAR-201707-1180 | CVE-2017-7022 | plural Apple Vulnerability in the kernel component of a product that allows arbitrary code execution in privileged contexts |
CVSS V2: 9.3 CVSS V3: 7.8 Severity: HIGH |
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iOS before 10.3.3 is affected. macOS before 10.12.6 is affected. tvOS before 10.2.2 is affected. watchOS before 3.2.3 is affected. The issue involves the "Kernel" component. It allows attackers to execute arbitrary code in a privileged context or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via a crafted app. Apple iOS/WatchOS/tvOS/macOS are prone to multiple security vulnerabilities.
An attacker can exploit these issues to execute arbitrary code or gain sensitive information. Failed exploit attempts will likely cause a denial-of-service condition. Apple iOS, macOS Sierra, tvOS, and watchOS are all products of the US company Apple (Apple). Apple iOS is an operating system developed for mobile devices; watchOS is an operating system for smart watches. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----

| VAR-201707-1140 | CVE-2017-7007 | Apple iOS of EventKitUI Service disruption in components (DoS) Vulnerabilities |
CVSS V2: 5.0 CVSS V3: 7.5 Severity: HIGH |
An issue was discovered in certain Apple products. iOS before 10.3.3 is affected. The issue involves the "EventKitUI" component. It allows remote attackers to cause a denial of service (resource consumption and application crash). Apple iOS is prone to multiple security vulnerabilities.
Successful exploits will allow attackers to perform unauthorized actions, execute arbitrary code in the context of the affected device or cause denial-of-service conditions; other attacks may also be possible. Apple iOS is an operating system developed by Apple (Apple) for mobile devices. The EventKitUI component is one of the components used to integrate the application with the built-in calendar program. A resource exhaustion vulnerability exists in the EventKitUI component in versions prior to Apple iOS 10.3.3. -----BEGIN PGP SIGNED MESSAGE-----
