DESCRIPTION
A vulnerability has been identified in syngo fastView (All versions). The affected application lacks proper validation of user-supplied data when parsing DICOM files. This could result in an out-of-bounds write past the end of an allocated structure. An attacker could leverage this vulnerability to execute code in the context of the current process. (ZDI-CAN-15097). siemens-healthineers of syngo fastview Exists in an out-of-bounds write vulnerability.Information is obtained, information is tampered with, and service operation is interrupted. (DoS) It may be in a state. User interaction is required to exploit this vulnerability in that the target must visit a malicious page or open a malicious file.The specific flaw exists within the parsing of DCM files. Siemens Syngo FastView is a stand-alone viewer of Dicom 2 images available on a Dicom exchange medium from Siemens, Germany
