TITLE

Apple iOS and OS X of AppleUSBNetworking Vulnerable to arbitrary code execution in a privileged context

Trust: 0.8

sources: JVNDB: JVNDB-2016-001899

DESCRIPTION

AppleUSBNetworking in Apple iOS before 9.3 and OS X before 10.11.4 allows physically proximate attackers to execute arbitrary code in a privileged context or cause a denial of service (memory corruption) via a crafted USB device. Apple Mac OS X is prone to multiple security vulnerabilities. Attackers can exploit these issues to execute arbitrary code, cause denial-of-service conditions, bypass security restrictions, and perform unauthorized actions. This may aid in other attacks. Apple Mac OS X 10.11 through 10.11.3 are vulnerable. CVE-ID CVE-2016-1781 : Devdatta Akhawe of Dropbox, Inc.
