TITLE

Veri-NAC URI Processing Directory Traversal Vulnerability

Trust: 0.6

sources: CNVD: CNVD-2011-2180

DESCRIPTION

Veri-NAC is a network control access device. The input passed to the WEB interface via the URL lacks filtering before use, and the attacker submits a request containing a directory traversal sequence to obtain arbitrary file content. In addition, its Active Directory authentication information is stored in clear text. Veri-NAC is prone to a directory-traversal vulnerability. Exploiting the issues can allow an attacker to obtain sensitive information that could aid in further attacks. Veri-NAC firmware version prior to 8.0.10 are vulnerable. ---------------------------------------------------------------------- Join Secunia @ FIRST Conference, 12-17 June, Hilton Vienna, Austria See to the presentation "The Dynamics and Threats of End-Point Software Portfolios" by Secunia's Research Analyst Director, Stefan Frei.
